The contest will now start Thursday, March 15, 2012 at Cedar Glade Hotel in Horseshoe Bend, AR. Contestants will need to have two songs ready to perform. Contestants must be signed up for the contest no later than March 13, 2012. Contestants that are signed up will receive a call (1st week of March) letting them know which week they will be performing. You can use tracks, accompany yourself or have no more than two other people accompanying you. No bands are allowed. The top four winners each week will receive a dinner certificate from one of several restaurants in the area, and will be showcased on the Joe Beavers Horseshoe Health and Medicine Ozarks Got Singers radio show Saturday mornings following the Thursday night shows. The first place winner each week is invited back to perform as featured entertainment throughout the contest. Additionally, the top four winners each week will compete in the semi-finals of the competition (approximately 32 contestants) to try and advance to the final show which will have 15 contestants. Even if you do not win the contest, there will be other opportunities to showcase your talent in the area. We are always looking for good talent to entertain our guests. The shows are family shows with no alcohol served in the hall where the contest is held. Contestants will receive a CD copy of their performance as part of the entry fee.

Example: If your show is in the first week of the competition, and you are in the top 4, you would not have to return to the competition until week 11 to compete against the other semi-finalists..
